The development of technology in the field of modern medicine demands interrelated multidisciplinary cooperation in creating new and rapid breakthroughs based on technology. Biomedical Engineering is necessary to meet the needs of improving the quality of public health in this modern era. Biomedical Engineering experts will apply engineering principles to understand, modify or control human biological systems, as well as design and manufacture products that can monitor physiological functions, help diagnose and treat patients.

The Biomedical Engineering Master Program was established to answer these challenges, by meeting the demands of sufficient experts or professionals who are able to solve medical problems using engineering principles.

Graduates of Master Program in Biomedical Engineering UGM are directed to have competencies as teachers, researchers, and professional practitioners such as health care system management, entrepreneurship and consultants.

Graduates who can enroll in the Biomedical Engineering Master Program are undergraduates or equivalent with a background in Engineering, Medicine, Public Health, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Biology and Pharmacy and meet the requirements set by UGM.

Welcome to Biomedical Engineering, Graduate School of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).

The Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Industry is one of the leading industries in the National Industrial Development Master Plan 2015-2035, the presence of Biomedical Engineering science to support the acceleration of national independence in the field of medical devices and pharmaceuticals, so as to improve the quality of public health services.
